赫爾槽測試對於電鍍技能測試的一級檢測是不可或缺的一種非常有用的方法，並且是一種可以輕鬆檢查電鍍特性的測試方法。 在一個測試片上獲得具有寬範圍陰極電流密度的電鍍膜，檢查最佳電鍍條件，添加劑等化學液體的過量和不足，微量雜質的存在或不存在，合金膜沉澱分佈的影響等，都可以很容易地獲得。 包含的直流電源是一個強大的電源，脈動率約為4％，但最大電流為10A。

   Hull cell test is a simple and effective testing-method, by which electroplating characteristics can be examined. It is also adopted as a testing item in the Plating Skills Assessment 1st Grade Test. Since plating-film of a wide range of cathode current densities can be observed on a single test-piece, it is possible to conduct studies of optimal plating conditions and effects from lack or excess of chemicals (such as additives), existence of trace amount of impure substances and deposition distribution on alloy films. The ripple on the attached DC Power Supply is about 4%, but the power supply is reliable with maximum current of 10A.
